Roxie has sadly came back to us due to her owner’s not having the time to dedicate to her. She will need an experienced owner as she can be a handful when out walking past other dogs. She will need someone to carry on her training. She has been around children from the age of 6 years old previously but we think she would be better homed with older children. She has not been socialised with other animals and needs some consistency in her own forever home
Roxie is such an affectionate, loving girl. She loves to give big cuddles and enjoys a good game of chase or tug of war with a giant rope toy.
She has been with us for quite some time now, unfortunately being returned to us a few times after short spells as people under estimate what a lively, young dog she is and the training that she needs. She has come on a long way with her training but being in and out of homes sets her back each time and we have to start again.
She is a very intelligent girl and eager to learn and to please. She would benefit from socialising with other dogs but a kennel environment isn’t the best place for Roxie as she gets very worked up. When introduced correctly to new dogs that are friendly with the same energy levels as her, she can play lovely. When she is being walked alone she will walk loose lead but will need continued lead training as this is where she can let herself down with being reactive to dogs approaching her.
She has had a rubbish start in life and she’s only 2 years old. With training, routine and patience she will make an excellent pet if someone will give her the chance to shine, she really is worth it!
