Wishing everyone at Leicester Animal Rescue a very Happy Christmas. It was lovely to see today some people we met when we were adopting Dora (formerly Tora) and her puppy George back in June. They are such beautiful and loving dogs and we want to say thank you for bringing them into our lives. Hi unsure whether you received my update email so here’s a further update. Little Reggie (Marlows Kittens) is living his best life and looking forward to his first Christmas. He’s always up to something and at the moment is always busy under the tree hehe! He loves his big furry doggy sister Belle. They play together constantly and sleep together at night - it’s just so lovely ❤️ Lots of love Siobhan and Isla

Hi All, Just an update on Cookie, he took a little while to settle in and get used to his new home, me and  new routine. But now he is very much at home, he loves to spend time in the garden, playing with his toys, walks to the parks and sleeping on my lap whilst I work. He is a very happy little man with a big personality. Thank you all so much for all the hard work you do and for taking care of Cookie until I gave him his new forever home. Cookie & Nikki

It’s been 6 years since we gave this beautiful cat her forever home home She has developed from a very frightened  anxious little soul into a very content and happy puss. She is affectionate,loves playing and being brushed and is so adorable. She loves cuddles and never leaves my side. We bless the day we found her and thank you all for your care

Hi, We adopted Kitty (renamed Sully) last Saturday and I thought we’d give an update! He settled in so well and very quickly knew this was his home! As you can see in the pictures, he loves sunbathing. He’s a greedy boy and wolfs down his food but is fairly well-behaved other than the occasional nibble in the night on our hands or face (in an affectionate way not aggressive) After we lost Forrest (also adopted with LAR), we really weren’t sure we’d be able to have another one in our home as we were just devastated. However, it’s been so lovely having him here and just having a little cat to kiss and fuss on tap! He’s super friendly, and even slept on Savan, my partner, the other night! Thought you might like an update on the twins! They are absolutely brilliant and so funny and gorgeous. Their neutering went well as you probably know, they were still full of beans afterwards! They do have new names - Spook (smaller) is now Rummy. (I am from Lincolnshire and “rum” is a word used affectionately to describe someone who is cheeky and a bit of a one off). Hi Just to let you know that Reggie has settled in really well! He soon made himself at home and within a few days he was climbing the lounge curtains! As soon as my Yorkshire Terrier, Belle, saw him she started spinning around and was so pleased to meet him! They bonded very quickly and play so gently together - they already sleep together at night! Rescue Reggie is very loved and a welcome addition in our home. Siobhan & Isla

Milo has really come out of his shell since leaving the shelter! Although he is scared he's extremely playful, especially during the night and keeps my other half up some nights! But he is loved by everyone here regardless! He's very affectionate, especially with me! He deserves a happy life and we shall give him the best life we can!
