Dolly (Formerly Skye)

2020-06-09T09:37:05+01:00

Hi all, A very long overdue update on Dolly ❤️ Back in Feb we were referred to a specialist vet in Solihull because of her reluctance to walk, and our new vet thought her pads were “abnormal”. They bled after walking and had several blistery bits. Fast forward to now, she’s on anti inflammatory meds (£4 a day) and she doesn’t bat an eyelid when we handle and touch her paws. She’s also put on a ton of weight and after a bit of experimentation she’s still on the Hills Prescription Diet, although she has lots of treats and her poos are amazingly solid most of the time! She still isn’t keen on walking, it takes 50metres of coaxing with bits of cooked bacon - and then she’s away! A huge thank you to you all for everything you did

Daisy & Lily

2020-06-09T09:26:17+01:00

Hello, please see attached photos of daisy and lilly. They are both settling well into their new home. Both a bit reserved at first but now, they are full of energy and love playing with their toys and chasing each other.  They like to sleep on my bed, and are always together. They are very well behaved and have clearly come from a good home before. I love having them and I'm sure they will have many happy years here.

Buttons (Formerly JoJo) & Dorothy (Formerly Coki)

2020-06-09T09:18:35+01:00

Hi there, Just a quick email to say we adopted Jojo and Coki from you two weeks ago and it’s safe to say they have settled in really well. We have decided to rename them. Jojo is now Buttons and Coki is Dorothy or Dotty for short. They both get on amazingly and their little characters are shining through. They are both itching to get outside and explore. I am going to give them one more week to settle in and then let them go and explore the countryside around them. Thank you for letting us adopt them. They are simply gorgeous. All the very best Gill and Matt

Charlie

2020-06-09T09:11:59+01:00

Hello, We hope that you are all doing okay and keeping safe. We're really pleased with how Charlie is settling in with us. He's still having his crazy moments when he gets overexcited and then tries to bite and dominate. But on the whole he's getting gentler and responding to being out growled, put on his bed or being put outside so we're hopeful he'll get out of this behaviour with persistence and consistency. Otherwise, he's been great. We just wanted to check with you what brand of food he was on with you. We've got him on Harrington's no grain sensitive at the moment and his stomach is still settling. His stools are okay, but he's very very windy and gasing us out. I've been trying some mashed potato with him, however if he was used to the food

Cleo

2020-06-09T09:06:39+01:00

Hello everyone! I moved into my new home on 21st February and now it's the beginning of April and I've finally plucked up the courage to explore the garden. It's terrific! There's catmint! My new mum is growing more of it so there will be lots for me to enjoy. I very kindly brought her a present the other day, sadly it wasn't accepted gracefully. I didn't know it was wrong to catch butterflies.  (I wasn't shouted at, and the butterfly was rescued.) I have met a some very nice people since moving here, but of course it's just me and Ma at the moment now we're isolating. I don't mind it really, gives me more sleep time. I hope all of you at Animal Rescue are keeping well. Thank you for all you did for me, and for finding

Tinkerbelle & Pumpkin (Formerly Spartan)

2020-06-09T09:02:26+01:00

Hello all, We just wanted to write and give you and update on Tinkerbelle and Spartan who we adopted from you last month. After spending the first week or so hiding behind the sofa, they are now both settling in really well and are getting into the swing of things here. Spartan (who we have decided to rename Pumpkin) has really found her feet and is already strutting around putting the dogs in their place. She’s definitely starting to show her feisty side, but she more than makes up for it with how loving and friendly she is. Tinkerbelle is certainly a much quieter personality, but is getting the hang of coming upstairs to bed for cuddles. Having spoken to a vet, we suspect she has had a flare up of cystitis but she seems to be getting a lot

Roma

2020-06-09T08:45:37+01:00

Good afternoon. It has been 1 week since Roma allowed us to take her home. In that time she has settled in really well, jumping on the bed and spending quite a while in the garden enjoying the sunshine. She has started wagging her tail more and more and a lot less 'skitty' She has been on a few walks, but pulls quite a bit on the lead, I think it will take several weeks to train her properly. She is very loving and a great addition to our family. I have tried to attach some photos . We would like to thank you all for the great work you all do and hope you are coping during these difficult times. Regards Jo, Ian and family
