Hi all. Just to say a massive thank you for Tia/Keke. She has settled into her forever home so well, it's as if we have had her since a puppy.   She has been adopted under her new name and hasn't looked back! Tia is such a happy little dog, she is so content. She loves cuddles and settles instantly for a hug, doesn't matter which family member but she does have her favourites! She loves playing, fetch especially with her ball or teddy but after a little while would rather just have a cuddle. She lurves her tummy being rubbed and any toy is soon dropped for that! She loves a rawhide chew and can quite happily munch away for ages, quite handy for people meal times! Not as food orientated now and can sit next to someone without

Hello all at Leicester Animal Rescue. Just an update on Derek. He is doing so well and settled into our family home, cant believe he has only been with us for 2 weeks feels like he has been here forever. His confidence is growing day by day and his cheeky character is starting to come out. He is loving his long walks across our beautiful countryside and is so good on the lead with my daughters (8 & 11). We will work much harder on recall before attempting off lead! But he also very much enjoys chillin on his bed by the fire. We feel truly blessed to have him as part of our family. He is a much loved part of our family Thank you for every thing you do. Hi All, Hope you can see the photos of Dolly? She has def put on weight although we don’t know how much. She was 26.4kg when she went for her ultrasound 2 weeks ago but her waist is noticeably thicker and her ribs aren’t so obvious. Her poos are 90% solid ALL of the time, barely any slops. She’s reached the point when you wouldn’t be ‘embarrassed’ walking her in a residential area in case of diarrhoea that you have to leave.... it might leave a slight residue after pick up but nothing like 3 weeks ago ??? Good morning... As promised,  some photos of Lucky settling into his new home... He does like my work station! As I work from home..he has kept me company! We have found out that he has a good snore when asleep ? and prefers the jelly in his food to the meat but eats it all eventually!! He has drawn blood on a couple of occasions when I have walked past him lounging on the floor and he has just gone for my ankle the little devil.... but we are getting to know him better each day ?... he is getting used to the household sounds... washing machine etc.... Hi everyone at the rescue center. Here is a 6 month update on Lexie who we adopted on 5th Jan 2019. Please see attached a few of many photos of Lexie in her forever home with her forever family x She is still living a life of luxury and treated like a princess. She loves paddling in the stream and her long walks. She is always happy to see you and her tail is always wagging. Lexie loves her squeaky toys and her fluffy toys last a whole of 10 seconds. Lexie is always center of attention where ever she goes. She is a huge part of our family. ❤❤ Thanks again for bringing Lexie into our lives xx

Cleo has now been with us for two weeks and she has settled in very well. As mentioned in the original email, she is a very affectionate and loving cat, and still just as "chatty". Beauty (our other, older cat) now seems to have accepted her and whilst there have been no great displays of friendship, they will now sleep on the same bed (ours!) within about a foot of each other. Remarkable! All-in-all, she seems very happy and content, so I would call this a very successful re-homing!

Paxton has settled really well. We walk twice a day on Vicky Park where he loves exploring. He also likes walking around  the University buildings with all the outdoor steps and ramps. He's eating well, sleeping right through the night and seems very happy in his new home. He is a bit aggressive with other dogs so id like to talk to you about that if you could give me a ring sometime please just to see what we can do to help him socialise. Here are some pics. He's defintely part of the family already. We've all fallen in love with him!

Just to let you know that although it's only been a few weeks, we can't imagine a time before Luka. Thank you so much for choosing us as his forever family , he is an amazing little dog whose quirky personality reveals its-self more and more each day. He has settled into family life happily- not seeming fazed by anything- and although he likes to share his love, he has quickly become my little shadow! Millie, our other resident dog, now seems happy to share her home with him and even allows him to sniff her, they also help each other out at mealtimes , swapping bowls to clear up any leftovers. Having Luka has also (at aged  11) given her a new lease of life. He loves toys and playing and this has encouraged her to play too, something

Dear Leicester Animal Rescue I thought we would share with you an update after a few days to let you know how Baby (now Enid) is settling in to our home. Once she had hidden under the table for a few hours to calm her nerves, Enid became inquisitive about her new surroundings – and hungry – and so decided to venture out to say hello for short periods at a time. Fast forward just 24 hours, and barring the odd period where she retreated behind the sofa for a bit of peace once in a while (which she still does), she was a totally different cat. She has settled in wonderfully and is on the whole confident, energetic and playful. She loves fuss, loves play hunting and wants to find out what is on or behind every single item
