Hello everyone,

We are just back from our first holiday with Kali and she had a fantastic time at the beach. We were lucky with nice weather and quiet beaches. Kali spent hours chasing balls up and down the sand and jumping in the waves. But perhaps the most heartwarming moment for us was how excited Kali got as we pulled back into our drive at home – so much tail wagging excitement for being home again.
She is doing really well at home too. Sometimes it feels like we’ve adopted a lizard because she takes herself out to the garden to bask in the sun whenever it shines!
We are also pleased that she’s now put some weight on and our vet has said she’s now reached her target weight. She’s now looking stronger and more athletic. She’s also now on an allergy tablet, as well as her hypoallergenic diet, and no more ear flare ups – she seems much happier for it.
Kali loves nothing more than a squeaky toy. She can often puncture a squeaker in a minute or two so we’ve bought a massive squeaker supply to re-sew her favorite toys so they keep the squeak!
She doesn’t like to be left home alone even for a few minutes but we’re building this up slowly with the help of frozen lick mats for distraction. Thankfully, she behaves well in dog-friendly restaurants/pubs so she almost always just comes with us. And we’re lucky that our wider family adore her so she has a queue of eager dog sitters at our disposal.
Thanks again for giving her a home before we did.
Ebie and Max
