Hi!
I just wanted to give you an update on Larny, who came home with us last Friday. She very quickly settled into her new overnight accommodation (first photo below was taken on friday). Ian and I spent a lot of time sitting with her and enjoying Larny-cuddles!
The second photo was taken yesterday, I think. She has now got full access to all of the downstairs and is pictured enjoying the log burner and TV from a comfy cushion next to me on the sofa! Her next expedition will be to discover upstairs, but we still have that blocked off for the moment. She is eating well and being very good about taking her thyroid medicine.
I wanted to mention that I noticed on the first day as she was walking around and exploring her new environment that she is not completely sound on her left front leg. It is almost unnoticeable when she walks, a bit more noticeable when she trots towards you and I was convinced when I watched her get up from lying down and turn, and her left leg definitely gave way under her. She hasn’t made any noises that suggest any pain, but I wanted to mention it as I could ask Gilly to have a look when we take her in for her appointment on 20th October. Would that be alright please?
We are absolutely delighted to have Larny at home with us. She is extremely affectionate and already feels like part of the family.
best wishes
Sue and Ian
