Shadow (Formerly Lola)

2019-06-08T20:14:14+01:00

On October 11th 2018,we adopted  a very nervous little cat called Lola. She immediately took up residence under the sideboard,in the lounge and was very wary of noises and movement. The next morning she appeared for food and cuddled up on my fleece dressing gown, purring and kneading. Since then she has gained so much confidence, plays all the time wth her toys and races up and down stairs, chasing a furry mouse. She loves lots of cuddles. Although still nervous of new people and situations she is wonderful company and is such a happy, beautiful little puss. Thank you all for your care. We are delighted with her. Pat  and Doug

Milo

2019-05-26T21:03:44+01:00

Dear Fairwinds Just to report Milo is safely arrived in his retirement home and ten minutes after arrival he had eaten half a sachet of Felix and is curled up in his box. He was very afraid when he first arrived and cowered in a corner until I picked him up and put him in his box with a plate of food. He seems quite settled now and not anything like as stressed. He's purring and wanting his ears rubbed! Very many thanks for everything and I'll keep you posted as to how he gets on. All very best wishes Lesley Dear Fairwinds Day Two has been much less stressful for Milo. This photo was "Rub my Ears! I am FULL!" He loves having his ears rubbed and when he gets stressed over something, if I scratch his head he

Angus & Velvet

2019-05-26T20:40:55+01:00

A little update and photo's of Velvet (vets kittens) & Angus (Mikey) Theyr'e doing ok, into everything especially Velvet a little live wire. Angus neutered last week. Came home full of beans. It was Velvet who fell asleep after a worming tablet. Only little problem is that they steal food from Teddie my older cat. Even though they still have their own food, have to try and feed them separately.  Hopefully they'll grow out of it. Any suggestions please. Angus a lot more confident but still a bit wary, but we're getting there. He loves Teddie follows him around and sleeps with him. Teddie who's 17 & half was 5 months old when we got him from Animal Rescue wasn't sure what hit him at first, but he's very plassid. Love them all to bits. Regards. Josie

Tango & Cash (Emily’s Kittens)

2019-03-22T22:11:06+00:00

Hello, My boyfriend and I adopted Emily's kittens 4 and 5 back in August. We named them Tango and Cash. They have settled in very well and are very much part of the family. They love playing with each other and getting up to mischief, including climbing into tight spaces and playing with things that they shouldn't. They are very affectionate and love a cuddle. They have started to explore outside too. Today they were neutered and they are still a little dopey. Cash lived up to his lively nature and kicked up a fuss when they gave him an injection. Tango is the bigger of the two and has reacted better to the anaesthetic. I have attached some photos so you can see how they have grown. Thank you very much for letting us adopt these beautiful boys. Their
