Dear Leicester Animal Rescue, and Waffles biological family

I just wanted to start by saying how wonderful it has been becoming Waffle’s dog parent. We will be forever grateful to you and to Waffle’s biological family for raising and caring for such a well-loved dog.

As a family, we are really finding our feet. We go for walks every day, meeting other dog owners in the park, and our community in Syston and Mountsorrel has welcomed Waffle with open arms. He has already made so many friends and absolutely loves interacting with everyone (and, of course, having a good sniff!).

Waffle has bonded so beautifully with me—much to the children’s disappointment—but he does enjoy spending time with them too, especially cuddling on the sofa and soaking up strokes.

When Waffle first arrived, his coat was a little matted, so the groomer had to take quite a bit off. He now looks like a completely different dog, but we’re working with the groomer to grow his coat out longer again. Today I gave him a rabbit ear as a treat, and he absolutely loved it!

We love him so much already and can’t wait to make many more memories together as a family. It truly feels like a blessing to have him in our lives, and we just want to say thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts.

With gratitude,

Andrea
