Ember

2025-12-20T15:46:51+00:00

Hi, it’s Amelia, Little Ember update: Ember has settled in so well, claiming the main bed and snoring louder than anyone. She’s made lots of doggy friends and has her own McDonald’s order (chicken nuggets). Her little squishy face makes everyone who meets her happy!

Waffle

2025-12-20T14:50:33+00:00

Dear Leicester Animal Rescue, and Waffles biological family  I just wanted to start by saying how wonderful it has been becoming Waffle’s dog parent. We will be forever grateful to you and to Waffle’s biological family for raising and caring for such a well-loved dog. As a family, we are really finding our feet. We go for walks every day, meeting other dog owners in the park, and our community in Syston and Mountsorrel has welcomed Waffle with open arms. He has already made so many friends and absolutely loves interacting with everyone (and, of course, having a good sniff!). Waffle has bonded so beautifully with me—much to the children’s disappointment—but he does enjoy spending time with them too, especially cuddling on the sofa and soaking up strokes. When Waffle first arrived, his coat was a little matted, so the

Roo (Formerly Titch)

2025-12-16T09:54:50+00:00

Hi We wanted to let you know how Titch is getting on. After calling him Fudge for a couple of days we decided his face reminded us of a kangaroo so he is now called Roo which also matches his ability to bounce! He is settling in really well and Josie is getting used to having him around.  She still tells him off on occasion but they like to play fight and she will almost lie next to him (see photo attached - we didn't ask them to lie there).  They are beginning to get used to having toys around without too much conflict. We are still working on house training during the day but making progress and he is good at night,. He is learning to walk on a slip lead and to be generally calmer. You need eyes

Lance (Formerly Jim)

2025-12-16T09:40:28+00:00

Hi, Just wanted to give you an update on little Lance. He is an absolute delight, has settled in perfectly and is being well and truly spoilt! He's very affectionate and loves his cuddles. He's becoming more adventurous each day which now includes digging in the houseplants' soil (not so great 😂) and making an appearance during my work calls, much to the delight of my co workers! His favourite spot is on top of his cat tower in the bedroom, watching the world go by. Thanks for everything you do for the animals in your care. Sarah & Tim P.s. hoping Vera now has a home🤞

Monty (Peggy’s kitten)

2025-12-15T09:42:15+00:00

Hello We just wanted to share a quick update regarding Monty, one of Peggy's kittens we took home on Saturday. He's settling in really well, eating well, and is spending his days playing, sleeping and being fussed! Each day we are seeing him grow in confidence and become more comfortable in his surroundings. We just wanted to thank you once again, and attach a photo taken this afternoon. Kind regards Andy & Sam
