Roo (Formerly Titch)
Jade Walker-Rainbow2025-12-16T09:54:50+00:00Hi We wanted to let you know how Titch is getting on. After calling him Fudge for a couple of days we decided his face reminded us of a kangaroo so he is now called Roo which also matches his ability to bounce! He is settling in really well and Josie is getting used to having him around. She still tells him off on occasion but they like to play fight and she will almost lie next to him (see photo attached - we didn't ask them to lie there). They are beginning to get used to having toys around without too much conflict. We are still working on house training during the day but making progress and he is good at night,. He is learning to walk on a slip lead and to be generally calmer. You need eyes

Lance (Formerly Jim)
Jade Walker-Rainbow2025-12-16T09:40:28+00:00Hi, Just wanted to give you an update on little Lance. He is an absolute delight, has settled in perfectly and is being well and truly spoilt! He's very affectionate and loves his cuddles. He's becoming more adventurous each day which now includes digging in the houseplants' soil (not so great 😂) and making an appearance during my work calls, much to the delight of my co workers! His favourite spot is on top of his cat tower in the bedroom, watching the world go by. Thanks for everything you do for the animals in your care. Sarah & Tim P.s. hoping Vera now has a home🤞
Monty (Peggy’s kitten)
Jade Walker-Rainbow2025-12-15T09:42:15+00:00Hello We just wanted to share a quick update regarding Monty, one of Peggy's kittens we took home on Saturday. He's settling in really well, eating well, and is spending his days playing, sleeping and being fussed! Each day we are seeing him grow in confidence and become more comfortable in his surroundings. We just wanted to thank you once again, and attach a photo taken this afternoon. Kind regards Andy & Sam
Scampi
Jade Walker-Rainbow2025-12-15T09:39:54+00:00Okay, it's been a while. I've been off gallivanting again...... Boy it's hot! My cooling jacket did the job keeping me cool on my latest adventure, that they call it camping! What, i hear you say...... I was ok once I saw my bed all set up in my new sleeping quarters. All set up by the trees for shade for me :0). Beautiful view over the Lathkill Dale. I'm doing OK, with a couple more lumps appearing on my left side and mammory line :0(. Not like the last nasty one, which I've been meaning to write and thank you for. As its soooo, much nicer not having it bleeding all the time and as you can see in my photo styling out my new shades I look beautiful again. Anyway, I must trot off things to do, and
Luna
Jade Walker-Rainbow2025-12-15T09:33:45+00:00Dear Leicester Animal Rescue, Just getting in touch to give you an update about Luna. We adopted her this June as a companion for our older cat Violet. She quickly settled in at her new home and loves lying around on her cat tower. Luna was also very keen to get outside and explore. It was difficult keeping her in for 4 weeks as she kept hiding behind the curtains in attempt to sneak out when we opened the door! Now she is allowed outside she is very much enjoying her freedom and independence. Her favourite place to spend her time is lying on our roof where she has a good view of everyone in the garden. Best Wishes, Charlotte.
Smudge (Gilly’s kitten)
Jade Walker-Rainbow2025-12-15T09:24:08+00:00Good Morning Thank you for allowing us to have Smudge. He is already very loved by us. He is adventurous and loving exploring- he keeps appearing with bits of dust on him from where he's been behind something! Must step up my cleaning regime!! We've noticed that he really likes to be with people and when only one person is in the house, he follows them. He's using his litter tray which is great. Thank you again. Sarah and Alice
Lok (formerly Loaf)
Jade Walker-Rainbow2025-11-13T15:25:53+00:00*Our Journey with Loaf** After losing our beloved 15-year-old Pug, we thought we’d stay a two-pug family. Then we saw Loaf — now known as Lok (though he’ll always be Loafy to us!). We decided to give it some time, telling ourselves, *if he’s meant to be ours, he will be.* About a week later, we visited him with our other two pugs. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous — about toilet training, bonding, sleeping routines, and whether it might disrupt the calm we’d found. But, of course, I couldn’t leave him in rescue care. So home he came! The first night was a little restless, as expected. But by the third day, he’d discovered the joy of sleeping in our bed, and by the second week, he had settled perfectly into our routine. At the end of that
